Joann E. Elliott, 80, Chandler

Joann E. Elliott, 80, of Chandler, died Wednesday, September 14, at the Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. She was born in Dubois March 17, 1942, to Wilfred and Arnetta (Wolf) Bair.

Joann was a graduate of Dubois High School and worked as a certified nursing assistant for several years. She was baptized and attended St. John’s Lutheran Church at the Crossroads in Dubois and enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her companion, David Hillenbrand; one daughter, Sabrina Williams and husband Jimmy, Boonville; one son, Greg Elliott and wife Liz, Cincinnati; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Berger and husband Bill, Muncie, Rhonda Tedrow and husband Rick, Dubois, and Donna Friedman and husband Mike, Lanesville; and one brother, Jim Bair, Dubois.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa Koch, two sons, Anthony and Ryan Elliott, and three brothers, Harold, Larry, and Donald Bair.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Church. Memorial contributions can be made to the Linda E. White Hospice Center in Evansville. Online condolences can be shared at www.becherkluesner.com. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with burial following in the church cemetery. Pastor Timothy Fleece will officiate.
