Raife F. Milligan, 21, New York, NY

Raife F. Milligan, 21, of New York City, New York, died May 3 at New York University Hospital. He was born in Jasper May 23, 2000, to Joseph and Elizabeth “Liz” (O’Brien) Milligan.

Raife was a 2019 graduate of Jasper High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society (on the honor roll for 4 years) and the JHS swimming and track teams. He was currently attending New York University, where he was studying BioChemistry, and was a member of Redemption Christian Church in Jasper. He did volunteer work delivering food to the elder, loved playing video games and playing volleyball, was a self-taught guitarist, and enjoyed writing songs and poetry.

He is survived by his parents, Joe and Liz Milligan; one sister, Ryanne Milligan, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; two brothers, his twin brother Reece Milligan and Reid Milligan, both of Jasper; his twin nieces, Coltrane and Era Clay; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Ruby Milligan, and Fred and Gloria O’Brian; one cousin, Josh Suhrheinrich; and one aunt, Linda Weisman.
