Ralph H. Schroering, 81, Jasper
Ralph H. Schroering, 81, of Jasper, died Wednesday, May 11, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. He was born in Jasper April 13, 1941, to Herbert and Loretta (Seger) Schroering. He married Madonna “Donna” Mehringer May 8, 1965, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.
Ralph was a graduate of Dubois High School. He served in the National Guard for six years and owned and operated Ralph Schroering Construction for 48 years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper and its Men’s Sodality and he enjoyed playing cards, snowmobiling, spending time at his farm, and being with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Schroering; three sons, Kevin Schroering and wife Denise, Celestine, and Kurt and Jason Schroering, both of Jasper; three daughters, Michelle Dodson and husband Chris, Jasper, Melissa Barthel and husband Chris, Haubstadt, and Janel Werner and husband Shane, Jasper; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Maurice Schroering and wife Judy, and Donnie Schroering and wife Cathy, all of Jasper; two sisters, Sr. Marilyn Schroering, Ferdinand, and Doris Schroering, Jasper; and sister-in-law Connie Schroering, Jasper.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Edna and Lou Alice Schroering. and one brother, Delmar Schroering.
