Clark A. Gramelspacher, 59, Jasper

Clark A. Gramelspacher, 59, of Jasper, died Thursday, November 18, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born in Jasper September 27, 1962, to Eugene and Rosemarie (Berg) Gramelspacher.

Clark was a 1981 graduate of Jasper High School and graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree. He was a mortgage broker, a professional photographer, a regularly contributing writer for a national mortgager magazine, and, most recently, office manager at Gramelspacher Optometry Clinic in Jasper.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and an active church volunteer. He enjoyed aeronautics, astronomy, weather tracking, snorkeling, and the Smoky Mountains and he accompanied World War II veterans on Honor Flights to Washington, D.C.

He is survived by his mother, Rosemarie “Rosie’ Gramelspacher, Jasper; two sisters, Adrienne Webber and husband David “Slick” Webber and Adair McPherson, all of Indianapolis; two brothers, Dr. Craig and Dr. Curt Gramelspacher, both of Jasper; aunt and uncle John and Liz Berg, Columbia, South Carolina; eight nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and nephews; and 20 cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Gramelspacher, brother-in-law Gary McPherson, four grandparents, five aunts, four uncles, and four cousins.
