Violet Ann Wineinger, 80, Jasper
Violet Ann Wineinger, 80, of Jasper, died Wednesday, November 18, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born February 26, 1941, to Chester and Bernice (Luttrell) Smith. She married Charles Wayne Wineinger April 5, 1958, in French Lick.
Violet retired from General Motors in St. Louis where she worked for 12 years. She was a member of the United Auto Workers and the South Liberty United Church of Christ in French Lick and she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and collecting antiques.
She is survived by her husband, Charlie Wineinger; two daughters, Debra Bextermueller and husband Kenny, Cabot, Arkansas, and Shanna Kope, St. Louis; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers, Charles Smith and wife Rosemary, Jasper, and Harold Smith and wife Wanda, Indianapolis; sister-in-law Rosemary Smith, Eaton, Ohio; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Cox, and one brother, Leon Smith.
