This time of the year use extra caution on our county roads
The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health reports that approximately 5.2 deaths per 100,000 farm occur each year due to traffic-related motor vehicle crashes. And tractor rollovers account for one of every three farm worker fatalities, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Just a reminder when traveling locally especially on our Dubois County and surrounding areas be extra cautions this time of year and if you do pass farm machinery keep this in mind most farm equipment travels at less then 20 miles per hour and can range from a small tractor to combines that way tons more than any vehicle your driving in. Let’s get everyone home for the evening this year.
