1st Annual Southern Indiana Renaissance Festival
The 1st Annual Southern Indiana Renaissance Festival was held this past weekend at the Dubois County 4-H Fairgrounds with a variety of vendors, musical entertainment and a beer garden sponsored by Quaff On Brewing Company of Nashville, IN.
The Celtic Fling included ax throwing and Celtic themed foods. Vendors, featuring handmade period items, and musicians travelled from various Indiana locations plus others from Kentucky, Pennsylvania and Alabama.
Organizers stated about 300 attended the events but are optimistic that the new event will continue to be successful in the upcoming years.
The festival is dedicated to promoting fun, while teaching the younger generations of the old ways. The festival funds their 501C3 for education, scholarships, entertainers.
