Darlene E. Dicus, 64, Jasper

Darlene E. Dicus, 64, of Jasper, died Monday, October 4, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Jasper March 31, 1957, to Clinton and Hallene (Drake) Ruckriegel. She married Malvin “Ed” Dicus Jr. May 3, 1975, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville. He died October 23, 2015.

Darlene was a graduate of Northeast Dubois High School, worked at Kimball Electronics for over 30 years, and attended Redemption Christian Church in Jasper. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their football games. She was an avid bird watcher and Bunco player and enjoyed playing Bunco with her friends.

She is survived by one daughter, Amanda Schroeder and husband Luke, Jasper; three grandchildren, Tyson, Bryor, and Ben, and one great-granddaughter, Penelope.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Dick, and two brothers, Larry and Richard Ruckriegel.

Friends may call from 2-7 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions can be made to Redemption Christian Church. Online condolences can be shared at www.becherkluesner.com. Funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. There will be no burial at this time.
