Linda Fay Herrick, 76, Jasper
Linda Fay Herrick, 76, of Jasper, died Saturday, September 11, at Scenic Hills at the Monastery in Ferdinand. She was born in Mitchellville, Tennessee, February 27, 1945, to Hubert and Gladys (Lovelady) Dobbs.
Linda grew up in Portland, Tennessee, before her family moved to Louisville, and eventually to Indianapolis when she was a young girl and attended Emmerich Manuel High School. She was a leasing agent for several years, leasing apartments and condominiums. She attended Redemption Christian Church and enjoyed talking to and spending time with her friends and family, listening to country music, reading, doing word searches, and watching HGTV or animated movies.
She is survived by one daughter, Angela Goeppner and husband Doug, Huntingburg; one son, Michael Herrick II and wife Amy, La Canada, California; three grandchildren, Michael III, Matthew, and Rachel, two sisters, Brenda Roberson , Indianapolis, and and Charlotte Rich, Greenfield; and several nieces and nepheews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, Don, Jimmy, and Obie Dobbs.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Community Chew in Jasper or Redemption Christian Church. Online condolences can be shared at www.becherkluesner.com.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with burial following in St. Ferdinand Cemetery in Ferdinand. Pastor Ryan Stiles will officiate.
The family requests that masks are worn for the services.
