Imelda Lou Williams, 85, Jasper
Imelda Lou Williams, 85, of Jasper, died Saturday, July 24, at the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper. She was born in Birdseye January 7, 1936, to Lloyd and Irene (Sanders) Bolden. She married Robert A. Williams July 9, 1990, in Las Vegas. He died June 13, 2003.
Imelda was a graduate of Birdseye High School. She spent many years working in the insurance field in Owensboro and Jasper and also worked at the Haas Family Mart in Jasper. She enjoyed travel, word puzzles, dancing, dining out with family and friends, and margaritas. She was a member of the Birdseye Christian Church.
She is survived by one sister, Margie Leonard, Birdseye; one brother, Harold “Fuzzy” Bolden and wife Edna, Birdseye; sister-in-law Judy Bolden, Jasper; two half- sisters, Sherry Dollar and husband Larry, Avon, and Shelley Cummins, Corydon; two step-sisters, Bonnie Houpt, Brownsburg, and Brenda Waddle, Indianapolis; one step-brother, Randall Jackson, Pennsylvania; and nieces and nephews Jay Leonard, Scott and Susie Bolden, Trisha Ball, Tina Lamon, Shelley Burke, Jennifer Puttman, and Cathie Fromme.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Garold Bolden.
