Dolores T. Kuper, 97, Jasp;er

Dolores T. Kuper, 97, of Jasper, died Thursday, July 22, at Legacy Living in Jasper. She was born in Jasper April 23, 1924, to Anthony and Amelia (Baehl) Reising. She married Maurice Kuper September 15, 1949, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. He died June 19, 2007.

Dolores was a 1942 graduate of Jasper High School. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Church in Jasper, where she was a Stephen Minister, a member of the St. Anne’s Society, Daughters of Isabella, and the Legion of Mary, and the American Legion Post 147 Auxiliary. She was the last living charter member of Tri-Kappa, which she helped organize in 1946.  She and her husband were members of the World War II 10th Mountain Division Association and travelled the world with the group. She loved to travel, especially abroad, loved playing bridge, and was a member of several bridge clubs, and loved spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by four daughters, Julie Fuhs and husband Dave, June Seng and husband Al, and Nancy Huebner and husband Jim, all of Jasper, and Marcia Lushell and husband Mark, Carmel; two sons, George Kuper and wife Bev and Greg Kuper and wife Debbie, all of Jasper; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Carole Verkamp and Inez Larkin, and one brother, Vernon Reising,

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at St. Joseph Church. In lieu of flowers and gifts memorial contributions can be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Renovation Fund. Online condolences can be shared at A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Tuesday at the church with burial following in Fairview Cemetery.
