Randal Lee “Randy” Durcholz, 68, Huntingburg/Duff
Randal Lee “Randy” Durcholz, 68, of Huntingburg and Duff, died Monday, July 12, in Georgia. Randy was born in Jasper September 13, 1952, to Charles and Rita (Rasche) Durcholz. He married Susan Ann Hochgesang November 22, 1975, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper.
Randy was a 1970 graduate of Ireland High School, a U.S. Army veteran, and a member of American Legion Post 147 and the American Veterans. He was a lifelong farmer and a grain bin salesman. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland, Jasper Moose Lodge 1175, Huntingburg Fraternal Order of Eagles 708, and the GoldWing Riders Club. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, spending winters in Florida, making homemade sausages, fishing, and cooking.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Ann “Susie” Durcholz; two sons, Steven Durcholz, Duff, and Mark Durcholz, Huntingburg; three sisters, Janice Corn, Petersburg, and Carol Schuetter and husband Eugene and Sara Helms and husband Mark, all of Jasper; and sister-in-law Carla Durcholz, Duff.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth J. Durcholz, and one daughter-in-law, Jill Durcholz.
Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Church. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary Church or to the American Heart Association. Online condolences can be shared at www.becherkluesner.com. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with burial following in the church cemetery. American Legion Post 147 will conduct military graveside rites.
