Ronald J. “Ron” Kluesner, 78, Jasper
Ronald J. “Ron” Kluesner, 78, of Jasper, died Tuesday, June 29, at his home. He was born in Celestine January 18, 1943, to Bernard and Theresia (Schroering) Kluesner.
Ron was owner of Kluesner Construction and worked as a mason his whole life, completing several area masonry projects including Holy Family Church, a number of area schools, the Jasper Old National Bank building, Eastland Mall, and numerous custom homes. He was a lifetime member of the Celestine Community Club and enjoyed mushroom, squirrel, rabbit, and turtle hunting, gardening, playing cards, visiting the casino and horse track, and spending time with friends and family, especially playing cards with his grandchildren.
He is survived by four daughters, Mary Alles and fiancé Kevin Leistner, Debbie Beckman and husband Brian, Michelle Kieffner and husband Scott, and and Angie Mitchell and husband Rodney, all of Jasper; three sons, Tony Kluesner and wife Lynne, Martinsville, Brian Kluesner (Raquel Faulkenberg), Santa Claus, and Keith Kluesner and wife Angela, Dubois; daughter-in-law Lisa Schroering; 24 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Bernice Knies, Celestine, and Yvonne Luebbehusen, St. Henry; one brother, Arnold Kluesner and wife Alice; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Terry Kluesner, one grandson, Benton Kluesner, three sisters, Neoma Sander, Verena Egenolf, and Adeline Fleck, and one sister who died in infancy, Norma Jean Kluesner.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at St. Celestine Church. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Isadore Parish or to a favorite charity.
