Norine “Incy” Hufnagel, 95, Ferdinand

Norine “Incy” Hufnagel, 95, of Ferdinand, died Friday, June 25, at Scenic Hills at the Monastery in Ferdinand. She was born in Ferdinand May 30, 1926, to Renus and Mathilda (Mullis) Altman. She married Otto Hufnagel at St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Ferdinand. He died March 17, 1967.

Norine was a lifetime member of St. Ferdinand Church. She retired from Ferdinand Furniture and after retirement cooked at the Covered Bridge and the Ferdinand American Legion and babysat in her home. She was a member of the Ferdinand American Legion Post 124 Auxiliary and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and cooking.

She is survived by one son, David Hufnagel and wife Julie, Ferdinand; two granddaughters, Amy Foertsch and husband David, Santa Claus, and Jessica Buschkoetter and husband Damion, Ferdinand; five great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Drew Foertsch and Clayton, Kora, and Maverick Buschkoetter; one sister, Aline Satkamp, Ferdinand; sister-in-law Rita Altman, Ferdinand; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis and Bobby Altman, two sisters, Mitzie Sliwa and Anna Mae Altman, who died in infancy.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Friday at St. Ferdinand Church. Online condolences can be shared at A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with burial following in the church cemetery.
