Sharon Kay Besaw-Montgomery, 71, Jasper
Sharon Kay Besaw-Montgomery, 71, of Jasper, died Monday, May 24, at Walnut Creek Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Evansville. She was born in Evansville March 9, 1950, to Conrad and Doris (Chambers) Hurt.
Sharon was a graduate of Castle High School. She was owner and CEO of The Servants, Inc. in Jasper, where she worked all of her career. She was a member of the NRA and was active in the Dayton Women’s Republican Club. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, golfing, throwing horseshoes, and traveling, especially taking cruises. She was an avid fan of the Indianapolis Colts, an active volunteer in her church, and loved volunteering for the Wright Patterson Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio.
She is survived by two sons, John Besaw and wife Stephanie, Jasper, and Dan Besaw, Evansville; two daughters, Ariel Werner and husband Cole and Brianna Besaw and companion Dustin Cummins, all of Jasper; seven grandchildren, D.J. Miller, McKailla Bartlett, Darian, Hudson, and Destiny Besaw, and Garrett and Calista Werner; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Connie Hurt, Evansville, and Donna Holderfield and husband Marvin, Newburgh; and two brothers, Mike Hurt and girlfriend Trevia, Evansville, and Rock Hurt and wife Monica, Fort Branch.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Barry Neal Hurt, Sr.
Friends may call from 2-7 p.m. Thursday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
