Marvin “Baldy” Weyer, 69, Ferdinand

Marvin “Baldy” Weyer, 69, of Ferdinand, died Tuesday, February 16, at his home. He was born in Jasper June 7, 1951, to Leonard and Rose (Fleck) Weyer. He married Antoinette “Toni” Wigand February 14, 1970, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ireland.

Marvin owned Marvin and Toni’s Bargain Barn in Ferdinand for 35 years and Weyer’s Drive-In. He enjoyed traveling and riding his motorcycle as part of the “Pie Riders.” He took many hunting trips out west, enjoyed grilling and cooking, and was a past participant in the Great Race.

He is survived by his wife, Toni Weyer; three sons, Paul Weyer, Nick Weyer and wife Elizabeth, and Clint Weyer and wife Rachel, all of Ferdinand; one daughter, Vicki Drysdale and husband Robert, Boonville; two brothers, Gene Weyer and wife Betty, Charlestown, and Leon Weyer and wife Donna, Ferdinand; one sister, Jean Bose and husband Gene, Jasper; and eight grandchildren.
