Pauline A. Harris, 95, Birdseye
Pauline A. Harris, 95, of Birdseye, died Sunday, January 17, at her home. She was born in Birdseye November 16, 1925, to Fred B. and Lula May (Smith) Abell. She married Cecil Charles Harris June 29, 1963, at First Pentecostal Church in Birdseye.
Pauline was a homemaker and a caregiver for her granddaughter, Carla Michelle “Missy” Eckert. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Birdseye.
She is survived by one son, Carl “Sonny” Steffen and wife Frances, Birdseye; one sister, Mildred Harris, Huntingburg; two brothers, Harold Abell and wife Sandy, Hagerstown, and Howard Abell and wife Delores, Fortville; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Harris, one daughter, Mary Lou Eckert, five brothers, one grandchild; and one great-grandchild.
