Luella H. Bieker, 94, St. Anthony

Luella H. Bieker, 94, of St. Anthony, died Thursday, November 19, at her home. She was born in Jasper November 16, 1926, to Fred M. and Nellie (Gerber) Sermersheim. She married Theodore W. Bieker September 2, 1947, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper. He died June 17, 1990.

Luella was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Church, Christian Mothers, St. Anthony Senior Citizens, Jasper VFW Auxillary, St. Anthony Legion Auxillary, and Jasper Daughters of Isabella. She retired from Mobel Inc. in Ferdinand and was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Kitty Lou Bieker, Jasper; four son, Ted Bieker Jr., Ferdinand, and Tony, Tom, and James “Jake” Bieker, all of St. Anthony; 12 grandchildren, Brandy, Tracy, Trista, Jessie, Nicole, Jenna, Pete, Teddy IV, Jhett, Jhazz, Joseph, and Jace; three step-grandchildren, Jeremy H, Josh, and Jeremy V; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Michael J. Bieker, who died in infancy, three brothers, Leroy, Louis, and Kenny Sermersheim, four sisters, Lillian Rucker, Lee Etta Brames, Lenore Anderson, and Mary Prechtel, three step-brothers, Gilbert, Urban, and Ralph Schnell, two step-sisters, Clara Mae Schultz and Jenny Otto, and her companion, Jerome Hedinger.

Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Anthony Church of Padua. Online condolences can be shared at A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with burial following in the church cemetery.
