Eva Mae “Dolly” Taylor, 83, Huntingburg
Eva Mae “Dolly” Taylor, 83, of Huntingburg, died Sunday, November 8, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Spencer County February 4, 1937, to Milo and Della May (Russell) Bender. She married Darwin Kay Taylor February 26, 1955, at the Church of the Nazarene in Dale.
Dolly worked as a nurse’s aide at the Golden Circle Nursing Center in Dale for 28 years. She was a member of the Huntingburg Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed gardening, cooking, cleaning, and taking care of babies.
She is survived by her husband, Darwin Kay Taylor; three sons, Rev. Dennis Taylor and wife Brenda, Lynnville, David Taylor and wife Julie, Otwell, and Rev. Daniel Taylor and wife Teresa, Royalton, Illinois; two daughters, Diana Headley and husband John, Rotunda West, Florida, and Deborah Granderson and husband Randy, Lamar; son-in-law Larry Kippenbrock, Dale; one sister, June Evertts, Hatfield; two brothers, Anthony Bender and wife Kaye and Clyde Bender, all of Gentryville; 15 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Sue Kippenbrock; eight siblings, Hettie Johnson, Gloria Thompson, Milo “Bud” Bender, Jr., Paul, Jerry, Charles, and Mary Bender, and Gladys Franz, and grandson Dennis Kay Taylor, Jr.
Due to Covid-19 precautions private visitation will be held Friday at Nass and Son Fuenral Home in Huntinburg and a private funeral will be held Saturday at the funeral home. Rev. William Covey will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to Huntingburg Church of the Nazarene. Online condolences can be shared at www.nassandson.com. Friends may attend graveside services at 11 a.m. (EST) Saturday in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Dale.
