Christina Bravo, 67, Jasper
Christina Bravo, 67, of Jasper, died Sunday, October 18, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Porte Zuelo, Mexico, February 18, 1953, to Pedro Rios and Christina Estrada. She married Basilio Bravo June 11, 1972, at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Guadalajara-Jalisco, Mexico.
Christina retired from Jasper Engines and Transmissions, where she worked for over 26 years. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper and enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Basilio Bravo; three daughters, Lulu Staats and husband Robert, Dale, and Lupe and Anita Bravo, both of Jasper; four sons, Ricardo Bravo and wife Audrey, Dubois, Bobby Bravo, and fiancé Julie Taylor and Angelo Bravo and wife Melissa, all of Jasper, and Gabriel Bravo, Huntingburg; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her mother, Christina Estrada-Rios, Porte Zuelo, Mexico; six sisters; and four brothers.
She was preceded in death by her father, Pedro Rios, and three brothers.
Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Church. Holy Family parish members will pray a rosary at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Holy Family Church or to a favorite charity.
