Jerry “Roger” Craig, 84, Otwell

Jerry “Roger” Craig, 84, of Otwell, died Saturday, October 17, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. He was born in Otwell August 5, 1936, to Dr. Harry and MariLou (Houtsch) Craig. He married Karen Jones August 31, 1958, at Otwell Methodist Church.

Roger was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a 1962 graduate of Kansas State University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Economics. He worked as manager of Craig Mills Incorporated and as an area representative for National Farmers Association (NFO). He retired from A.L. Pharma where he was a regional sales manager. His favorite hobby was playing music. For 16 years he sang and played base guitar in a band called Roger and Friends. The band played often for local nursing homes.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Karen Craig; two sons, James D. Craig and wife Cindy, Wadesville, and Jonathan Craig and wife Tammra Daugherty, Indianapolis; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Cherril Weathers, Winslow.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and James T. Craig.
