Joseph T. Schnell, 56, Jasper
Joseph T. Schnell, 56, of Jasper, died Friday, October 9, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born in Huntingburg November 15, 1963, to Thomas and Agnes (Clauss) Schnell. He married Annette Lescault June 6, 2000, in Hawaii.
Joe was a 1982 graduate of Forest Park High School. He retired from Krempp Lumber Company in Jasper, where he worked for over 30 years. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Jasper, loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing, watching baseball and basketball, and was an avid Indianapolis Colts and St. Louis Cardinals fan.
He is survived by his wife, Annette Schnell; five sisters, Linda Kunz and husband Gerald “Jets” and Barbie Schnell, all of Jasper, Carol Klem and husband Don, Birdseye, Jane Lange and husband Dick, Ferdinand, and Sharon Colvin and husband Don, Patoka; one brother, Paul Schnell, Huntingburg; sister-in-law Kathy Schnell, Jasper; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Donald R. Schnell.
A memorial visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Friday, October 16, at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Holy Family Church, Huntington’s Disease Foundation, or to a favorite charity. Online condolences can be shared at www.becherkluesner.com.
