Thomas Michael Buechler, 81, Jasper

Thomas Michael Buechler, 81, of Jasper, died Thursday, September 24, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born in Louisville February 6, 1939, to Oscar and Lucille (Dischinger) Buechler.

Tom was a 1957 graduate of Colorado Springs High School and attended the Jacobs School Of Music at Indiana University, majoring in voice and piano. He was a U.S. Army veteran and enjoyed music, singing, traveling, eating good food, making people laugh, and spending time with family and friends watching Indiana University basketball and football games.

He is survived by one brother, John (Jack) Buechler, Jasper; two nieces, Terry Berry and husband Bill, Loogootee, and Traci Peters and husband Larry, Dubois; one great-niece, Presley Ann Peters; one great-nephew; one great-great-niece; two great-great nephews; and best friend Jerry Kluemper, Jasper.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Jean Buechler.

There will be no funeral service as he will be cremated per his request. There will be a Celebration Of Life service at a future date. Online condolences can be shared at www.becherkluesner.com.
