The battle at Raider field was just that as Tell City had a great game plan including smothering big time yard maker Camden Gasser and slow down all the Raider offense and that is actually what they did.   Southridge also had a few problems of their own including fumbles.  But the Raiders held on and kept their undefeated status with a 14 to 12 victory over the Tell City Marksmen.  Wow what a game, with only minutes in the game the Marksmen still had the chance to stop the Raiders but the Raiders held on.  The Raiders normal this season of 4 or 5 hundred yards was held down to 211 yards.  The Raiders will face the Rebels of South Spencer during home coming at Raider field.

The Wildcats were at home battling a tough Evansville Central team and it was a battle as Wildcat quarter back Blake Mann got injured and had to leave the game for a while.  But that wasn’t going to stop the Cats as Lance Dawkins kept the ball moving on the ground with help from the offensive line as Lance put 124 yards on the board along with a touchdown.  Happily quarter back Blake Mann came back to the game as things were all tied up  17 – 17 with a little more than 10 minutes to go in the game.   Jasper got nailed with with a couple of big penalties leading to Evansville Central scoring late in the game to make it 24 – 17 advantage Central.   Then Jasper went to work and gave that ball to Lance Dawkins for good reason as the Wildcats plowed down to the red zone and eating up almost every minute of the clock punching it in on a 4th and inches down to the 10 1/2 yard line.  Back to Lance with a little over a minute but it wasn’t meant to be as Central brought the house and the Wildcats suffered a 7 yard loss.   Central took over got that First down won the battle at Jasper 24.- 17.  Jasper will travel South to face the Castle Knights.
