Delmar L. Fuhrman, 79, Dubois

Delmar L. Fuhrman, 79, of Dubois, died Sunday, September 20, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born in Dubois September 8, 1941, to Norman J. and Luetta (Meyer) Fuhrman. He married Florence Straw August 19, 1961, in Lafayette.

Delmar was a graduate of Dubois High School and Purdue University with a degree in engineering. He was self-employed as a consultant and also worked at Home Depot in Jasper. He enjoyed playing golf and reading.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Florence Fuhrman; one son, Delmar Furman, Jr., Rhonda Beach, California; one daughter, Teresa EiIand and husband Steven, Longwood, Florida; one brother, Donald Fuhrman and wife Shirley, Dubois; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Brian Fuhrman.

Friends may call from noon to1 p.m. Friday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Haysville. COVID-19 safety protocols will be mandatory for all family and friends in attendance including the use of face masks, observation of social distancing, and the use of hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the facilities. The family will appreciate everyone’s cooperation. Memorial contributions can be made to the Lange Fuhs Cancer Center of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper or to the wishes of the family. Online condolences can be shared at Funeral services at 1 p.m. Friday at the church with burial following in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Haysville .
