Eugene P. Hedinger, 90, St. Meinrad
Eugene P. Hedinger, 90, of St. Meinrad, died Thursday, September 17, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born in Perry County September 28, 1929, to George and Apolona (Waninger) Hedinger. He married Viola Braun May 3, 1952, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Tell City.
Eugene was a member of St. Meinrad Parish. He was a retired farmer and logger and also retired as a truck driver for Mulzer and Foster Brothers Trucking. He enjoyed farming, UTV rides, story-telling, and being with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Viola Frieda Hedinger; six sons, James Hendinger, Mariah Hill, Phillip Hedinger and Charles H. Hedinger and wife Diane, all of Tell City, Keith Hedinger, Bretzville, and Randall Hedinger and wife Sharon, St. Meinrad; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one brother, Daniel Hedinger, Fulda; and two sisters, Imelda Thomas, Dawson Springs, Kentucky, and Martha Oser, Jasper.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Hedinger, one daughter, Sandra Hedinger, four brothers, David, Seo, Ollie, and Kenny Hedinger, and one sister, Pearline Kluemper.
