Judy A. Klem, Jasper

Judy A. Klem, 73, of Jasper, died Friday, September 11, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. She was born in Huntingburg December 24, 1946, to Wilfred “Bill” and Leona (Heldman) Kluemper. She married Morris D. Klem October 19, 1991, at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper..

Judy retired from Memorial Hospital in Jasper after 38 years of service. She worked at the hospital as a cardiac technician and as an EMT. She was a member of Precious Blood Church and its Ladies Sodality and choir. She enjoyed baking, cooking, reading, singing karaoke, and spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Morris Klem; one daughter; Juanita Eckert and husband Tom, Jasper; three sons; Jerry Haas and wife Marla, Ireland, and Jim Haas (Christina Bodkins) and John Haas (Tonya Heif), all of Jasper; eight grandchildren; Kylee, Levi, Elijah, and Seth Eckert, and Nick, Zach, Devin and Jordan Haas; three sisters; Mary Jo Hart and husband John and Jackie Seifert and husband Randy, all of Jasper, and Becky Troesch and husband Bill, Ferdinand; seven brothers; Don Kluemper and wife Kathy, John Kluemper and wife Chris, Jim Kluemper and wife Amanda, Willie Kluemper and wife Medea, and Larry Kluemper and wife Connie, all of Jasper, Albert Kluemper and wife Pam, Ferdinand, and Bob Kluemper and wife Brenda, The Villages of Florida.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Carol Jean Kluemper, who died in infancy.

Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and from 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Precious Blood Church. Precious Blood members will lead a rosary at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Precious Blood Church or to a favorite charity.
