Friday Night Football Results

(NNDC)

Two out of the three county schools continued their football dominance this week as the Raiders and Wildcats win against their opponents  and total offense was the key in the 55 – 21 victory.  The Raiders put up 600 total offensive yards which almost tripled the effort of their opponent North Posey.  Chase Taylor accounted for 5 touchdowns on the ground and 3 passing touchdowns including 2 to Camdon Gasser and 1 to Matt Springer, kicker Jaylon Leon missed the first point after but zeroed in for the rest of the evening 7 times.  North Posey had a few opportunities in the game with a fumble in the first that resulted in a score and touchdowns in the 2nd and 3rd but they could not keep up the offense and the Raider defense which stopped North Posey again and again.   The 3-0 Raiders will be on the road to Pike Central next week.

The Wildcats of Jasper went on the road to face the Panthers and came home with a 35 – 14 victory.  Jasper QB Blake Mann and the cats went to work early scoring 3 touchdowns in the 1st half and from that point it was catch up time for the Reitz Panthers and Jasper”s defense put a stop to that as the Reitz Panthers could only muster up 14 points.  Jasper will be at home next week when the Bosse Bulldogs come to town.

The Forest Park Rangers football team lost Friday’s home conference game against Tell City (IN) by a score of 25-0.  The 2-1 Rangers are on the road next week and face Tecumseh.
