Linda G. “Gayle” Lohman, 79, Huntingburg

Linda G. “Gayle” Lohman, 79, of Huntingburg, died Tuesday, August 25, at her daughter’s home in Ferdinand. She was born in Perry County April 4, 1941, to Leonard Adolph and Ethel Ruth (Hall) Flamion. She married William Frederick “Bill” Lohman September 10, 1960, in Huntingburg. He died May 22, 2015.

Gayle was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 2366 and the Holland American Legion Auxiliary. She retired as manager of Dubois Lanes in Huntingburg and enjoyed spending time with family, bowling, camping, puzzles, and playing cards.

She is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Schlachter and husband Mark and Lori Fromme and husband Patrick, all of Ferdinand; one son, Kevin Lohman and wife Jackie, Holland; two sisters, Pamela Niehaus, Washington, and Debra Flamion, Jasper; two brothers Randall Flamion, Holland,  and Danny Flamion, Huntingburg; nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Gary Flamion.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Monday at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. The VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 2366 with hold a service at 6:30 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions can be made to the Ladies Auxiliary, Fairmount Cemetery or the Lange Fuhs Cancer Center. Online condolences can be shared at Funeral services at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with burial following in Fairmount Cemetery.
