James M. “Jim” Bohne, 70, St. Anthony

James M. “Jim” Bohne, 70, of St. Anthony, died Wednesday, August 26, at his home. He was born in Louisville June 16, 1950, to Martin and Berneda (Hentrup) Bohne. He married Barbara Berg June 21, 1969, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.

Jim worked for Jasper Wood Products for over 34 years. He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish – St. Anthony Catholic Church and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Bohne; two sons, Brian and David Bohne, both of  St. Anthony; one daughter, Sandra Huff and husband Brian, New Albany; one grandson, Brian Huff, Jr.; one brother; Kenny Bohne and wife Debbie, New Albany; three sisters, Patty McIntyre and husband Larry, Sellersburg, Angie Sturms (Jerry Spears),Greenville, and Mary Rose Adams and husband Kenny, Louisville.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis Bohne.

Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper and from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony Church. Memorial contributions can be made to Divine Mercy Parish or to a favorite charity. Funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial following in the church cemetery. Masks and social distancing will be required.
