Karen F. Chambers, 57, of English, died Thursday, August, 20, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Jasper May 28, 1963, to Don and Lou Ann (Lorey) Collins. She married Rick Chambers April 5, 1985, at St. John’s Catholic Church in Loogootee.

Karen was a 1981 graduate of Jasper High School. She was a retired licensed day care provider and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching hummingbirds, and taking pictures of wildflowers and sunsets.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Chambers; two sons, Joseph Chambers and wife Lauren, Ireland, and Kaleb Chambers and companion Whittney Huff, Holland; one daughter, Kari Boeglin and husband LB, St. Anne, Illinois; five grandsons, Brentley, Hunter, and River Chambers, and LT and Greyson Boeglin; one granddaughter, Blake Boeglin; her parents, Don and Lou Ann Collins, Jasper; one sister, Kathy Schmitt and husband Greg, Ireland; and one brother, Dan Collins and wife Nancy, Jasper.

She was preceded in death by one nephew, Dean Collins.

Friends may call for 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary’s Church or to the Lange-Fuhs Cancer Center.
