Carolyn L. Caudill, 88, Jasper
Carolyn L. Caudill, 88, of Jasper, died Wednesday, July 22, at Scenic Hills at the Monastery in Ferdinand. Carolyn was born in Elryia, Ohio, July 7, 1932, to Clarence O. and Marie E. (Becker) Burill. She married Ellis Caudill August 8, 1952. He died July 27, 2013.
Carolyn graduated from the MB Johnson School of Nursing in Ohio where she received a full scholarship. She did private duty nursing in Ohio and Indiana, was director of nursing at the Arcadia Children’s Home, and worked in area hospitals as an E.R. nurse. Her most recent church affiliation was The Door of Hope in Jasper. She enjoyed taking care of children.
She is survived by two daughters, Melanie McBane Fredette and husband Larry and Kimberly Daugherty, all of Jasper; three sons; Mark Caudill and wife Cathy, Noblesville, Kevin Caudill, Jasper, and Curtis Farrell-Caudill and wife Kelli, Washington state; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and one sister, Darlene Lewis, Elryia, Ohio.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Martin, Bernice LaPointe, Phyllis Roth, and Pat Critchfield, and two brothers, Clarence and Robert Burill.
