Frederick R. Gehlhausen, 74, Huntingburg
Frederick R. Gehlhausen, 74, of Huntingburg, died Sunday, June 28, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born in Ferdinand March 4, 1946, to Merrill and Lucille (Stetter) Gehlhausen. He married Cindy Weisheit July 1, 1986, in Beaufort, South Carolina.
Fred was a truck driver for 43 years, working at Breidenbaugh, Kimball, and Jasper Engine. He was a member of Huntingburg Fraternal Order of Eagles, VFW Post 2366, and the Teamsters Union. He enjoyed hunting, camping, racing, and being with friends.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Gehlhausen; two sons, Duane Gehlhausen and wife Linda and Keith (Annette Marks) Gehlhausen, all of Huntingburg; one daughter, Candi Gehlhausen and fiancé Bryce Beard, Ferdinand; his father, Merrill Gehlhausen, Ferdinand; two sisters, Suzi Jones and husband Hams, South Carolina, and Kathie Oser and husband Bob, Holland; two brothers, Stan Gehlhausen and wife Cindy, Dale, and Mike Gehlhausen and wife Linda, Huntingburg; two grandchildren, Jared Gehlhausen and wife Suzette and Kellie Gehlhausen, all of Huntingburg; and one great-grandson, Elijah Gehlhausen.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Gehlhausen.
