Dubois County Museum reopening this Sunday!

(NNDC) – Jasper

The Dubois County Museum will be reopening on June 14.  Our times will be form 1-4pm on that Sunday.  The museum will be following COVID 19 guidelines of safe distancing and recommending the wearing of face masks.  With 50,000 square feet of exhibit space available we are asking visitors to spread out along the area.

Programs are again being scheduled at the museum.

The ATHENA Award Grand Opening will be held on Thursday, June 18, at 5:00pm.

Nifty Nights-Free Night at the Museum will begin on Thursday, June 25. Nifty Nights are free evenings at the museum and open to the public.  On June 25 the theme will be Bugs, Butterflies and Fish.  Youngsters are invited in for Story time (the regularly scheduled Story time on Saturday, June 13, is cancelled) with crafts and activities planned.  Joe “Swampy” Schoenbachler and Friends will be teaching how to tie a Fly Fishing Fly this evening also, beginning at 6:00 p.m.  The time of the free evening is 5:30-8:00 p.m.  Story time will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Swampy and his Friends return on Saturday, June 27, for two more sessions of learning to tie a fly fishing fly at 10:30 a.m. and at 1:00 p.m.
