June Ellen Cunningham, 83, Birdseye
June Ellen Cunningham, 83, of Birdseye, died Thursday, May 21, at her daughter’s home in French Lick. She was born in Francisco June 17, 1936, to Fred and Ella Mae (Hill) Lytle. She married Gary Cunningham August 20, 1955, in Birdseye. He died February 8, 2013.
June worked as a seamstress, a real estate agent, and for the Civil Defense Office in Jasper. She was a member of Birdseye Christian Church and the Birdseye Conservation Club. She enjoyed flowers, traveling, and reading.
She is survived by two sons, Keith Blunk and wife Beverly and Eric Cunningham and wife Jan, all of Birdseye; one daughter, Hazel Elaine Ojeda and fiancé Todd McDonald, French Lick; one brother, Bob Lytle and wife Shirley, Oakland City; two sisters, Annadell Muckelrath and husband Ronnie, Vidor, Texas, and Carolea Scott, Angleton, Texas; and sister-in-law Mayme Lytle, Oakland City; eight grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Curtis Allen Cunningham, who died in infancy, one brother, Gary Lytle, one brother-in-law, Jessie Scott, and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at the Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial following in Mentor Cemetery near Birdseye. Rev. Albert Madden will officiate at the service.
