Cynthia “Cindy” Hochgesang, 63, St. Anthony
Cynthia “Cindy” Hochgesang, 63, of St. Anthony, died Thursday, April 30, at her home. She was born in Jasper January 24, 1957, to August and Veronica “Fronie” (Brosmer) Hochgesang.
Cindy was a 1975 graduate of Forest Park High School. She worked at Kimball National for 37 years, and was a member of Divine Mercy Parish – St. Anthony Catholic Church, where she volunteered many hours helping family clean the church. She was a recipient of the church’s Mother Theresa Award. She enjoyed planting flowers, cooking, baking, decorating, and helping others. Her greatest joy was spending time with family especially with her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her significant other, Gerald “Jerry” Young, Jasper; six sisters, Darlene Tuell, Huntingburg, Mary Jean “Jeannie” Begle and husband Jim, St. Henry, Janet Braunecker and husband Joseph “Junie,” St. Meinrad, and Linda, Brenda, and Laura Hochgesang, all of St. Anthony; four brothers, William “Bill”Hochgesang and wife Carol, Clarksville, Tennessee, Ernest “Ernie” Hochgesang and wife Eileen, St. Henry, Michael “Mick” Hochgesang and wife Tami, Birdseye, and Richard “Rick” Hochgesang and wife Jenny, St. Anthony; and nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Veronica “Fronie” Hochgesang,
