Randall Alban “Randy” Merkley, 66, Huntingburg
Randall Alban “Randy” Merkley, 66, of Huntingburg, died Saturday, April 25, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville. He was born in Jasper April 24, 1954, to Alban L. and Rose T. (Gutgsell) Merkley. He married Sharon A. Kuehn August 14, 1999, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Anthony.
Randy was a Forest Park High School graduate. He owned and operated Merkley Auto and Truck and was a truck driver for Decora. He was a member of Divine Mercy Parish/St. Anthony of Padua Church, the St. Anthony K of C, and a past member of the Iron Horse truck pulling team. He enjoyed attending swap meets.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon A. Merkley; two step-daughters, Tonya Lisby and husband Johnny, Huntingburg, and Krys Miller and husband James, Holland; five brothers, Stephen Merkley and wife Darlene, St. Anthony, Robert Merkley and wife Donnettia and Leon Merkley and wife Karen, all of Jasper, Michael Merkley, Huntingburg, and Kenneth Merkley and wife Lisa, Dubois; two sisters, Lois Wagner and husband Daniel, Ferdinand, and Carol Kreilein and husband Mike, St. Anthony; and six step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alban and Rose Merkley.
Private funeral services will be held Wednesday at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg with burial following in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences can be shared at www.nassandson.com.
