Norma Jean Mindrup, 86, Jasper
Norma Jean Mindrup, 86, of Jasper, died Wednesday, April 22, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Jasper April 26, 1933, to Clarence and Verona (Rohleder) Frick. She married Francis J. Mindrup December 29, 1951, in Indianapolis. He died April 16, 2003.
Norma was a homemaker and a medical receptionist. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper and an expert quilter, sewer, and needle pointer. She loved playing bridge, bowling, dancing, and studying birds.
She is survived by two daughters, Lynne Marie, Jasper, and Sheryl Schmidt, Ocean City, Maryland; three sons, Mark Mindrup, Encinitas, California, Paul Mindrup, Denver, Colorado, and Alan Mindrup, Newport News, Virginia; seven grandchildren, John Moncure, Zachary and Virgil Thomas, Jesse Kulp, Justin Schmidt, Joseph Mindrup, and Jennifer Hackett; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
