Keith A. Thewes, 55, Celestine
Keith A. Thewes, 55, of Celestine, died Monday, March 30, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper of injuries suffered in an ORV accident near his home. He was born in Birdseye December 23, 1964, to Lawrence and Marilyn (Persohn) Thewes. He married Gail Buechler September 22, 1990, at St. Celestine Catholic Church in Celestine.
Keith worked for Simple Transport and was a partner in Thewes Brothers Farms. He was a member of St. Isidore Parish – St. Celestine Church, the Celestine Volunteer Fire Department, Celestine Community Club, and Celestine Park. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, jeeping, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Thewes; one daughter, April Mullis and husband Derek, Celestine; one son, Lance Thewes and companion Brittany Partenheimer, Celestine; his parents, Lawrence and Marilyn Thewes, Celestine; his father and mother-in-law, Jim and Janet Buechler, Celestine; two sisters, Michelle Keller and husband Dean, Dubois, and Beverly Harris and husband Tom, Celestine; two brothers, Paul Thewes and wife Susie and Duane Thewes and wife Courtney, all of Celestine; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one nephew, Chad Knies.
