Rosetta C. Hasenour, 90, Jasper
Rosetta C. Hasenour, 90, of Jasper, died Thursday, March 26, at Cathedral Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in Celestine July 5, 1929, to Bernard and Alberta (Heldman) Knies. She married Anthony “Tony” Hasenour April 23, 1949. He died September 18, 2004.
Rosetta was a homemaker and a cook for St. Anthony School and other establishments. She was a member of Divine Mercy Parish – St. Anthony Catholic Church, the St. Anthony American Legion Auxiliary, and the Christian Mothers at St. Anthony Catholic Church. She enjoyed bowling, gardening, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by four sons, Anthony B. Hasenour and Mark Hasenour and wife Roxanna, all of Jasper, Lawrence Hasenour and wife Vicki, Louisville, and Patrick Hasenour , Paoli; three daughters, Jacinta McGookey and husband Jim, Huntingburg, Mary Steffen and husband Lenny, Meeker, Colorado, and Michelle Crecelius and husband Noble, Paoli; one daughter-in-law; 17 grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Paul Knies and wife Carol and Perry Knies and wife Janie, all of Jasper, Virgil Knies and wife Frances and Randy Knies and wife Janice, all of Celestine, and Bernie Knies and wife Diane, Dubois; two sisters, Connie Schroering and Sharon Burger and husband Jerry, all of Jasper; and two sisters-in-law, Bernice Knies, Dubois, and Bonnie Knies, St. Marks.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Hasenour, one grandson, Ronald Berger, five brothers, Jerome, Jim, Vernon, Ernest, Dennis, and Albert Knies, three sisters-in-law, Ruth and Cyrilla Knies, and Margaret Hoffman; and four brothers-in-law, Delmar Schroering, and Justin Maurice, and Vincent Hasenour.
