William V. “Bill” Gudorf, 72, Otwell
William V. “Bill” Gudorf, 72, of Otwell, died Friday, March 13, at his home. He was born in Fulda August 15, 1947, to Richard and Mary (Ballow) Gudorf.
Bill was a 1965 graduate of Jasper High School and a United States Navy veteran. He retired from Rainbow Foods, after a lifetime of working in the grocery business. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and going for drives to enjoy the different scenery and different restaurants with his companion, Esther.
He is survived by two sons, Robert “Mark” Gudorf and wife Patrizia, Sicily, Italy, and Vince Gudorf and wife Kim, Birdseye; three grandchildren, Joshua, William, and Brittany Gudorf; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Margie Bell and husband Daniel, Santa Claus; two brothers, David Gudorf and wife Mary and Mark Gudorf and wife Karen, all of Jasper; and his companion, Esther Pancake, Otwell.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and Larry Gudorf.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions can be made to VFW Post 673 or to the wishes of the family. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with burial following in Fairview Cemetery. VFW Post 673 will conduct military graveside rites.
