Selma C. Wellmeyer, 90, Huntingburg
Selma C. Wellmeyer, 90, of Huntingburg, died Wednesday, March 11, at St. Charles Health Campus in Jasper. She was born in Huntingburg September 6, 1929, to Emil and Emma (Sunderman) Voelkel. She married Andrew Wellmeyer October 30, 1949. He died December 1, 2001.
Selma was a farmer’s wife and a member of the Huntingburg United Methodist Church.
She is survived by one son, Ted Wellmeyer and wife Cynthia, Cave Creek, Arizona; one daughter, Jill Powers and husband Brian, Noblesville; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Andrew Wellmeyer Jr., and three brothers, Ralph, Roy, and Raymond Voelkel.
Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Nass and Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg. Memorial contributions can be made to the Historic Maple Grove Foundation. Pastor Lee Campbell will officiate at the service.
