Elizabeth L. “Betty” Reynolds, 82, Jasper

Elizabeth L. “Betty” Reynolds, 82, of Jasper, died Tuesday, March 10, at the Northwood Retirement Community in Jasper. She married Michael “Mick” Reynolds September 12, 1964, at Precious Blood Catholic Church in Jasper. He died December 28, 2016.

Betty retired from Jasper Corporation, where she worked for several years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper, the St. Anne’s Society, and the Jasper Moose. She enjoyed fishing, playing bingo, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by three daughters, Tina Wehr and husband Brent, Jasper, Pam Reynolds, Huntingburg, and Mary L. Gentry, Ferdinand; eight grandchildren, Nathan, Nicholas, and Mallory Wehr, Crystal Houchin and husband Dustin, and Brandon Boyer, Nolan Gentry, and Karli and Jake Kitten; five great-grandchildren, two sisters, Margaret Eckerle and husband Donnie and Mildred Erny; and one brother, Harold Erny, all of Jasper.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, John Reynolds, three sisters, Mary Alice Schuetter, Helen Hochgesang, and Anna Mae Reckelhoff, and four brothers, Robert, Richard, Vincent, and Sylvester “Sylv” Erny.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The St. Anne’s Society will pray a rosary at 3:30 p.m. at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church with burial following in Fairview Cemetery.
