Pipe Replacements in Ferdinand
Beginning on or around Tuesday, March 10th, INDOT will begin replacing drainage structures across S.R. 264 from just outside of the town limits of Ferdinand to the end of S.R. 264 near the intersection of County Road East 900 South.
Several piping and drainage projects are in need of excavation and replacement. After the pipes have been replaced they will be filled with gravel and be allowed to settle for a few days, after which the pavement will be replaced to complete the project.
The work is estimated to last about four days depending upon the weather and any other unexpected developments. Work will begin each morning after any school traffic has cleared. Most piping should be replaced before the end of the school day.
The official detour for this route uses S.R. 162 and S.R. 64. As always drivers are urged to use caution and slow down to protect workers and themselves.
