Virginia Rose Buerckley, 91, Huntingburg
Virginia Rose Buerckley, 91, of Huntingburg, died Tuesday, February 25, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. She was born in English March 28, 1928, to Dana and Irene (Fetic) Welch. She married Cecil R. Buerckley May 7, 1971. He died January 17, 1998.
Virginia worked as a cashier at the 231 Plaza Truck Stop and was co-owner of Cecil’s Printing until 1995. She was a member of the Baptist Church in English and attended the Church of the Nazarene in Huntingburg. She was a member and treasurer of St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, going on walks, caring for her grandchildren, and being with family
She is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Sue Fraze and husband Charles, Huntingburg; one son, Doug Denbo and wife Kathy, Indianapolis; five grandchildren, Jeff Fraze and wife Amy, Kimberly Kissling and husband Roger, Greg Fraze and wife Lisa, Annie Jones, and Sean Denbo and wife Estee; two step-grandchildren, Sallie Howerton and husband Zac and Julie Allen and husband Cody; and 13 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Bobbie Welch.

Funeral services at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with burial following in Hamilton Cemetery near English. Pastor William Covey will officiate at the service.
