Gregory E. Breitwieser, 56, Dubois
Gregory E. Breitwieser, age 56, of Dubois, died Tuesday, February 18, at his home. He was born in Jasper March 7, 1963, to Edwin and Carol (Dillman) Breitwieser. He married Jeanna Canary July 9, 2004, in Sevierville, Tennessee.
Gregory was a 1981 graduate of Northeast Dubois High School. He worked at Hoefling Truck and Tractor as a part salesman for several years. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Haysville and enjoyed basketball, restoring and rebuilding classic cars, attending drag races, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanna Breitwieser; one daughter, Krista Hill and husband Adam, Jasper; three sons, Eric Breitwieser and wife Jonna, St. Anthony, Adam Breitwieser and wife Amber, Jasper, and Willie Canary and wife Niki, Hillham; six grandchildren, Lillian Hill, and Harper, Grady, Ayla, Nora, and A.J. Breitwieser; his father, Edwin Breitwieser, Dubois; one sister, Stacy Harper and husband Heath, St. Meinrad; and four brothers, Kerry Breitwieser, Curt Breitwieser and wife Sherry, Jim Breitwieser and wife Julie, and Kevin Breitwieser, all of Dubois.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Breitwieser.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Friday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Christ Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with burial following in Emanuel Hill Cemetery in Dubois. Pastor Timothy Kraemer will officiate.
