Milton Eugene Aldridge, 81, Huntingburg
Milton Eugene Aldridge, 81, also known to his family as “Mickey” and to his friends as “Gene,” of Huntingburg, died Monday, February 16, at The Waters of Huntingburg. He was born in Owensboro, Kentucky, June 28, 1938, to Milton Leonard and Leona (Helton) Aldridge.
Milton worked as a chef and through the 1970s, was a chef for those working on the Alaskan Pipeline. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force; loved to deal in antiques, and, since becoming a resident of The Waters, became known as the “Quilt Man”. While living there he pieced many quilts while sitting in his recliner.
He is survived by two sisters, Bernice Miller, Jasper, and Esther Worchel and husband Stanley, Slidell, Louisiana; and nieces, nephews, and many caregivers at The Waters.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Marion “Bub” Aldridge.
