Raymond L. “Flub” Mosby, 81, Jasper
Raymond L. “Flub” Mosby, 81, of Jasper, died Thursday, February 6, at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper. He was born in Otwell February 23, 1938, to Clarence and Bertha (Garrison) Mosby. He married Jane Trevino October 6, 1983, in Petersburg.
Ray was a 1956 graduate of Otwell High School. He worked for JOFCO for several years and retired from the Jasper Corporation in 2001 where he was a finishing sprayer. He was a former board president of the Pike County School Corporation and a founding member of the Rocksteady Boxing Program at the YMCA. He coached Little League baseball, was an avid fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Indiana University Hoosiers. He enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre and Rummy.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jane Mosby; one daughter, Kelli Curtis and husband Eric, Jasper; three sons, Monty (Steven) Mosby, Indianapolis, Todd Mosby and wife Kim, Haubstadt, and Rick Trevino and wife Debbie, Jasper; five grandchildren, Eric, Curtis II, and Kevin Harmon, and Anna, Cole, and Katherine Trevino; and two sisters, Karen Brown and husband Rudy, and Emma Luker and husband John.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Mark Trevino, and one brother, Robert Mosby.
Friends may call from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Becher-Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper. Memorial contributions can be made to the Rocksteady Boxing Program and McClure Cemetery.
