Craig M. Heim, 45, of Ireland, died Thursday, January 16, at his home. He was born in Jasper November 28, 1974, to Arnie H. and Cyrilla M. (Hartz) Heim. He married Amy B. Schneider February 26, 2000, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper.
Craig was a 1993 Graduate of Jasper High School and a 1998 Graduate of Vincennes University. He was a skilled maintenance technician and worked at Toyota Motor Manufacturing. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ireland, Ireland Knights of Columbus Council 5581, and Jasper Moose Lodge #1175. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, ATV riding, being outdoors, and spending time with his girls.
He is survived by his wife, Amy Heim, two daughters, Emily and Madison Heim, both at home; one sister, Arlene Erny and husband Joe, Jasper; two brothers, Chris Heim and wife Bernita and Kent Heim and wife Tina, all of Jasper; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnie and Cyrilla Heim, and one sister, Loretta St. John.
Friends may call from noon-6 p.m. Sunday at the Becher-Kluesner Downtown Chapel in Jasper. The Ireland Knights of Columbus will conduct a memorial service at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery fund, the Dubois County Community Foundation-Jasper Lady Wildcats Softball Endowment, or to a favorite charity.
