(Junior Varsity) North Posey 2 – Southridge 0 — 25-16, 25-12
Jasper and Southridge volleyball will go head to head on Thursday night but both teams struggled against their opponents on Tuesday. Jasper lost to Evansville Mater Dei in 3 sets. Reagan Egbert and Allison Mair led Jasper in kills with 14 and 13 respectively. Kate Green handed out 39 assists and Kayla Fuhs led the defense with 18 digs. The Wildcats are now 13-10 on the season and will travel to Southridge on Thursday to face the Raiders.
Southridge was on the road Tuesday and faced conference foe North Posey, but it was the Vikings who walked away in a straight set victory. Myah Montgomery had 5 kills while Bailey Keusch and Maddie Songer each had 4. The assist leaders for the Raiders were Songer with 8 while Savanah Goeppner had 6. Anna Altstadt had 4 blocks on the night while Songer added 3. Rose Tempel led up the defense with 8 digs while Tatiana Delgado had 7 digs in the loss. Up next for Southridge is county rival Jasper on Thursday night. The Freshman will start at 5:30, followed up by the JV contest and then the Varsity will take the court immediately after.
